Research Background
My research work has historically focused on electrical machines, drives and power electronics. I have worked on:
- Experimental validation of new electric machine designs, Synchronous
Reluctance Machine (SynRM) and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM)
- Development of a novel control strategy for a variable flux PMSM
- Development of a three level inverter SynRM drive for traction applications
- Development of a new modulation scheme for a three level inverter drive
- Core loss performance of a SynRM under a three level inverter drive
